I am fond of inspirational stories. I never thought there are so many and are around me too. Mr. Ravi Jain asked me to meet Rani and I got a real life inspiring story. A young lady from rural India, Rani Tanwar is a girl of 17.
She is now preparing for high school examinations. She is so
dedicated to her studies that she travels at least 6 km daily to reach
school on bicycle. She doesn’t want to be like other Indian girls who
get married as soon as they complete their teenage years. Her mother is a
homemaker and part time social worker at a village community center.
When I met Rani she was learning video games on her brother’s mobile.
ShantiSeva availed Rani with a sewing machine. She is not a professional but stitches well. The sewing machine has generated so many dreams in her bright eyes. She talks about her future. She wants to join a professional institute of fashion and clothing in future. The sewing machine has drawn a road map to her career. Perhaps some day she will have her own label and designer range.
